It’s not easy to open for the Clipse, but Sons and Daughters pulled it off. The Scottish group ripped through a set heavy on new material, which made the 90+ degree weather seem somewhat tolerable. I’d never noticed how hard-hitting their riffs were until they were a foot from my face, but they set out to do some rocking. It was like a glittered up Clinic cranking their distortion up to cover Johnny Cash.
