Just a reminder that tonight is Islands at the Southgate House in Newport, KY. I’m leaving for SXSW in the morning, so this’ll be a perfect send-off — especially since Islands is headlining Saturday of our Hot Freaks! SXSW party. If I manage to catch them at the Mess with Texas show, that’ll make three helpings in one week!

ALSO: someone out there is claiming to have the first wave of bands playing the 2008 Pitchfork Festival. It looks good, but is obviously lacking in the headliner department so far. P4K is one of my favorite summer festivals (mostly because it’s so laid-back), so here’s to another enjoyable time at Union Park.
