About halfway through last year, I wrote these words in a Tapes n Tapes show review: “Mark my words, “Hang ‘Em All” is going to be the “Cowbell” of 2008.” We get to find out if I was right or not, because “Hang Them All” is the first single from TnT’s new record Walk it Off.

If the world were fair and just, this is how the new Modest Mouse record would sound. Tapes n Tapes may be all polished up with some record label money now, but their sound is just as bass-y and low-down as it was on The Loon. Can’t wait for the inevitable sing-alongs this chorus will bring about at all subsequent Tapes n Tapes shows.
