Pitchfork just broke the news on the 2008 MusicNOW festival lineup. This year we’ll be treated to Grizzly Bear, Andrew Bird, Dirty Projectors, Bill Frisell, and UK’s own Glenn Kotche of Wilco and Bryce Dessner (the National) playing with Bang on a Can. It’s all going down April 2-5 at Cincinnati’s Memorial Hall.

I had one of the best concertgoing moments of my life at last year’s MusicNOW festival. Sufjan’s show was amazing, but made even more so by the atmosphere of the “festival.” Memorial Hall is a large, seated theater that just commands reverence. The crowd was so silent for Sufjan that at times the shutter on my camera sounded like the loudest thing in the world. Here’s looking forward to another great time in 2008!
