In a weird way, the Helio Sequence is sort of responsible for You Ain’t No Picasso. After I saw them in 2004, I was set into a path that lead to this site within the month. Cheers to them for inspiring me and for this new record! Here’s the title track from their new record out soon on Sub Pop.

I had the dumb luck to get to see [the Helio Sequence] in a tiny concert in Lexington on Nov 1st. They were amazingly cool and we actually struck up a conversation after I heard their guitar player do a perfect “Ziggy Stardust.”
