Wilco to play ‘complete recorded works’ over five nights in Chicago

December 10th, 2007 · No Comments

No Dessert for You just pointed out that Wilco announced a five night residency in Chicago, during which they will play their entire recorded works. Get on that, Chicagoans and Wilco fans with more money and time than me.

Wilco announced this morning that they will play a 5-night stand at the Riviera Theater in Chicago this coming February, a residency during which the iconic band will explore its entire recorded catalog in treating the hometown fans to a unique setlist every night. While tickets are a very reasonable $35 per night, looks like I’ll still be out more than $175. Still a paltry price to pay, in my humble opinion.

Rumors as to what ‘complete recorded works’ means in terms of the setlists have ranged from an album-by-album live retrospect to a mix ‘n’ match situation that will cover every tune ever recorded under the Wilco name over the course of the five shows.
