Menomena tossed this remix on their myspace a short while ago. It’s spacey and weirdly wonderful. In other news, I think I’m setting a new record for the number of remixes I’ve posted on here recently. Yeasayer, Celebration, Andrew Bird and Menomena have all gotten the treatment recently.

The only complaint I can muster is that the fast drums (a remix necessity, obvs) take out Danny’s role in the song. I know I’m not alone in thinking Menomena has some of the best drumming in any indie band going today (see also: Deerhoof, Man Man and Enon/Holy Fuck). But what it lacks in weirdly perfect drumming, it makes up for with other general weirdness. This remix is somehow even spacier than Menomena normally make me feel.
