I was recently hipped to Intelligence by a friend and have been loving them intensely ever since. In a weird way, I’m almost frustrated by this. It’s way too late in the year to have a band making a run at my year’s end list of best albums. Oh well; I’ll cut them a break since they sound so good.
MP3: Intelligence - Moon Beeps
In contrast to the slow, creeping intro, “Moon Beeps” picks up where Death From Above 1979 left off. It’s a dirty, loud song that answers that age old question: “what would DFA1979 sound like if the guys from Times New Viking joined them to jam on a fierce, fierce track?” It would be like this.
