I’ve been doing a lot of Youtubing recently and was particularly struck by this live Menomena video. For some reason seeing it presented like this is really highlighting how well composed it is. Each instrument is given their moment to shine or solo, be it the twin sax solos, the first moment the drums kick in or the eerie piano bridges. Look for Menomena to rank highly in all my year end lists.
