Kite Flying Society: “When You’re in Love”

November 19th, 2007

The other day I had a great conversation with a customer at CD Central. The high point was when he said that he had a band to suggest since he knew I liked Page France. With no more clues than that, I knew he was about to suggest Kite Flying Society. Knowing that there were more KFS fans in Lexington than just me made me happy to no end. And to help further our growing numbers, here’s a song from Kife Flying Society’s upcoming album The Aviary.

MP3: Kite Flying Society - When You’re in Love
I don’t know how they do it, but Kite Flying Society have some of the richest, most inviting guitar tones of any band I can think of. I don’t know why I picked that observation to start with, given this song’s downright adorable lyrics (”I’d by lying if I said my young heart was not in bloom”) but it’s the first thing my mind went to.
