The other day I had a great conversation with a customer at CD Central. The high point was when he said that he had a band to suggest since he knew I liked Page France. With no more clues than that, I knew he was about to suggest Kite Flying Society. Knowing that there were more KFS fans in Lexington than just me made me happy to no end. I don’t know how they do it, but Kite Flying Society have some of the richest, most inviting guitar tones of any band I can think of. I don’t know why I picked that observation to start with, given this song’s downright adorable lyrics (”I’d by lying if I said my young heart was not in bloom”) but it’s the first thing my mind went to.
