I’ve never felt so disconnected from the youth of America (read: OLD) as I did during Fall Out Boy’s performance. At 21 I should at least have a feel for what my juniors are listening to, right? Not so much. Fall Out Boy stopped once or twice mid-song to allow their thousands of young fans to scream lyrics to songs that I’d never heard before in my life. They also covered the Killers’ “Mr. Brightside” which I’m sure made quite a few people’s lives complete. Or maybe it didn’t.
