I can’t think of a better way to say that I’m leaving for the Voodoo Music Festival than by letting Sunday’s headliners say it. If Wilco doesn’t play this song, they’re missing a big opportunity. This song is off Billy Bragg and Wilco’s Mermaid Avenue, which has them paired up to tackle some unrecorded Woody Guthrie songs. It’s one of my favorites, so pick it up if you don’t already have it!
I’m about to hop on a plane for New Orleans and won’t be back until Monday. Expect lots of photos and words — especially since it’s my first trip to New Orleans!
