The popular internet video site TV Links was shut down last week after its operator was arrested. I won’t go into the absurdity of arresting someone for linking to a site that hosts the videos. The Guardian’s Schofield did that already.

“Indeed, if linking is illegal, we might as well shut down the Internet, because there is no practical way anybody can guarantee the legality of what’s on the end of any link.” -Schofield

If that weren’t bad enough, British officials have arrested the guy behind OiNK!

It’s a bad time to be on the internet. Let’s hope the American government doesn’t get in on this action…
