The past few months have been a slow trickle of friends asking me if I watch Weeds yet. Few were fanatics intent on converting me (unlike Lost-loving friends), but were just seeing if I was yet hip to one of the better shows on television. The breaking point was when my friend Blair and Honus from Man Man double-teamed me with twin cries of “How can you not have seen it yet?” Granted, Honus was first interested to see if I’d heard their take on the theme song, but said it was a really enjoyable show as well.
Now I’m finally enjoying Weeds whenever I’m able and am hooked. The show is funny and unexpected, and Mary-Louise Parker is beautiful. Here’s hoping I can track down some DVDs soon.
