You may recognize this song from the Weeds mix earlier today. In a weird bit of coincidence it just happened to work perfectly as the keystone to the mix, though I’d already planned to feature the band on their own. Call it fate.

If you threw all the late ’90s Elephant 6 bands in a room and gave them six minutes to write a song, I’d imagine it coming out somewhere near this. Lyrically “There’s Nothing Wrong” is very comforting and espouses the escapism that drugs offer; musically it’s similarly inviting, echoing the hints of Beulah that pop up through the record. But really, it just sounds like a bunch of friends in a room, enjoying life and each other. What’s more beautiful than that ?
