If my love for Of Montreal were a planet it would be the sun, because it’s like the king of planets.
Of Montreal popped into the MPR studios to lay out two excellent covers. Lindsey Buckingham’s “Trouble” and The Who’s “The Kids Are Alright.” Sandwiched in between is the best version of new song “Feminine Effects” that has yet been released. It’s a beautiful piano and guitar composition that is one of the more stirring things I’ve heard them play. New album will apparently be out next year. Woo!
I’ve got to run, but if anyone wants to email me MP3s of the tracks (especially “Feminine Effects!”) I’d be thrilled to host it here.
