The Arcade Fire’s show at Waterfront Park in Louisville marked the third time I’d seen the band in a month. I consider this life’s way of making up for their 21+ show in Lexington three years ago. All I can really add onto the volumes that have been said about the band as of late is that I have no problem suggesting them first to friends who don’t follow music too closely these days. Even after mountains of pressure and exposure to follow up their near-perfect debut record, Arcade Fire have become one of the best bands on the planet. They’re forward-thinking and a bit of a throwback at the same time, yet they’re super accessible.
See this band live. Your grandkids will be asking you about it.
