Yesss! I’ve finally been able to hear a studio version of the song that I fell in love with months ago. Tullycraft’s “If You Take Away the Make-Up” is every bit as spectacular as it sounded in the live recordings. This is one fantastic twee pop record.

I think I heard someone toss around the term ‘twee popera’ (as in pop opera) to describe Tullycraft’s newest record. And though the track weighs in at under two minutes long, “If You Take Away the Make-Up” makes up for its shortness by being quite catchy and well composed. If that chorus and hook combination don’t get caught in your head this week, I’ll give you your money back.
