Blitzen Trapper’s “Miss Spiritual Tramp” became my theme music this past weekend as I tried (in vain) to get my money back from a Walmart purchase. The riff is tough enough to get me going, but the song doesn’t actually make any sense at all. Combine that with hearing Heart’s “Crazy On You” this weekend while at dinner with my parents, and I knew I had to post this cover.

From the first few seconds, you might get the impression that Blitzen Trapper are about to turn this into a distorted Guitar Hero take on the classic tune. However, it soon warps into bleeps, bloops and some very classy, understated guitar. After all is said and done, it sounds like the result of letting Dan Deacon tinker with your karaoke machine.
