At the start of this year, I’d never seen the Polyphonic Spree. In the past five months, I’ve seen them four times. Though that seems like a hefty number, I’d never seen them outdoors at a festival until Lollapalooza. I don’t know if it was the sun, the space or the giant crowd, but that really seems to be their element.

Tim was in top form, jumping about and whipping the crowd into as much of a frenzy as could be managed on such a humid day. The set was great as well, ending with robed-renditions of Nirvana’s “Lithium” and “When the Fool Becomes a King”
