OK. Most Decemberists covers make a little bit of sense. They did ELO around the time they started dabbling with prog-pop, they covered the Band at Bonnaroo and did Morrissey the first time I saw them. But this one? This was unexpected. Petra Haden of That Dog, who was touring with the Ds at the time, does guest vocals that leave her giggling at her range. It’s a bit silly, but adorable.
