I loved Girl Talk. I’d never been a big fan — in fact, I downloaded Night Ripper when it first leaked and promptly deleted it — but his live act is infectious. He was electric and did one of the best stage dives I’ve ever seen.

The most popular rumor/story of the fest was how Girl Talk and Grizzly Bear were both down for appearing on stage to recreate the mash-up in the physical world (which they did), but Clipse didn’t respond to the invitation. Apparently they didn’t have enough time to practice and wouldn’t do it if it wasn’t perfect. It’s a shame, because the Grizzly Talk (Girl Bear?) performance was a definite highlight.
