De Novo Dahl @ The Dame 7.9.07

July 12th, 2007 by Matt

Sometimes I during concerts, I imagine my eardrum as a small cartoon character hanging on for his life. During De Novo Dahl’s rocking new song “Dance Like David,” he finally had to give up and let go. But if I had to surrender my most treasured sense for one night, I’m glad it could be to Nashville’s finest pop-rock group.

MP3: De Novo Dahl – The Funk

The set was comprised of a great number of new tunes (“Shout,” “Subject of the Kill,” “Dance Like David”), but kept true to the fan favorites. They had particularly great takes on “Be Your Man” and “The Funk” — two staples of their live act. More than anything, the show left me craving the arrival of their new EP, “Shout,” and their 2008 full length, Move Every Muscle, Make Every Sound.
