By the time Wilco took the stage, I was nearly gone. Bonnaroo had worn me down, but in the best kind of way. So when the familiar syncopated drum intro to “I am Trying to Break Your Heart” took flight, I gladly spent my last ounce of strength grinning from ear to ear and singing along with the thousands in attendence.
