The intercontinental cool of Franz Ferdinand is part of what helped me rethink the way I had been looking at Bonnaroo. Sure, I have very little problem calling it America’s festival, due to the overwhelming diversity and quality of the lineups year after year. But this year it felt more like we were finally catching up to the European level of festivals. Franz Ferdinand were fun and had very little problem swinging the crowd into as much dancing as their packed lawn would allow.
