As my last post on the Lovely Feathers revealed, the Lovely Feathers have finished recording on their second full-length album. Now, thanks to Pete over at The Anchor Center, we’ve got a live recording of one of their new songs! Pete points out that the name of this song is not actually “Rusty,” but we’ll go with it. If anyone knows the actual name, feel free to share it.

Very rarely do I get excited when new songs are debuted live. Often they’re unfocused performances that just seem a little awkward. Plus, getting to know a band’s new material at a live show is like getting to know your new bride over email: not the ideal way. However, I’m happy to note that this is not the case with “Rusty.” This is one of those great times when the band obviously came together well at the show, and the song is first-rate.
