As I sit here at my desk, with a Kill the Moonlight poster on the wall to my left, I can’t imagine a new Spoon album in 2007. It could kill me. I’m still recovering from Gimme Fiction and only last summer got to see them live for the first time, so I don’t know that my heart is ready for it. But at the same time, you know I can’t say no to more Spoon.
MP3: Spoon - Rhythm & Soul (new; live)
You know how Marie Antoinette used some 80s music to frame a period piece and make it edgy? I see “Rhythm & Soul” as the perfect fit to a re-framing of Roman times. MP3: Spoon - Target (new; live)
The nominees for the Bloggies are up. If you wanted to vote for me in the Best Weblog About Music, I’d appreciate it. Also, be sure to support BSOTM in the Best Teen Weblog category! Aaaand you might want to vote for Pink is the New Blog, as he’s a very wonderful human being.
Cable & Tweed has a bunch of Of Montreal covers. I didn’t have the Eno or Kinks, so it was quite a good day for me!
