A powerful little sample of folk-rock stylings that wouldn’t be out of place on Viva Voce’s newest effort. With “Song for the Fields,” they quickly establish a nice acoustic backdrop, then make their bread and butter harmonizing overtop of it. But before it’s written off as “earthy” or overly-organic, drums thunder into the mix, and a fuzzy guitar throw wave upon wave of sound at you.
