The past two days have given me some of my favorite music in a while. That Viva Voce song is one of my favorites of the year, ditto with the Bishop Allen EP. Now The Black Neon are rounding out the set. Like they say, good things always come in threes.

I was originally scared off from listening to The Black Neon’s album at first because of a curiously ecclectic list of “sounds like” bands. But after giving it a spin, it turns out that they really are that good. Sparing use of strings and some ethereal instrumentation provide a great backing for their call to “leave it all behind.”
