The Features: “The Idea Of Growing Old”

MP3: The Features – The Idea Of Growing Old
The first song I remember loving was The Beatles’ “When I’m 64.” Something it brought out the hopeless romantic in me, even at a very young age. The idea that Paul–then a young man in his prime–was not only willing to think about marriage, but that it made him weak in the knees, was too endearing to bear.

Ever since my dad let me borrow his tape of Sgt. Pepper’s…, I’ve mentally collected a list of songs about this topic. Since that day, none of been able to surpass the Features’ song, “The Idea of Growing Old.” It’s catchy, it’s cute and it’s even more romantic than the Beatles tune of the same topic.
