Why does Islands’ evil song manage to wind up being catchy as hell (pun intended)? “I Feel Evil (Creeping In)” is simultaniously an exercise in spooky minor-chord dominated songwriting and a stomping pop song. That’s evil for ya, always hiding under the guise of something beautiful.

I love how Good News… had both a song that got Kidz Bop-ed and a song that has the line “gonna take this sack of puppies, gonna set it out to freeze. Gonna climb around on all fours ’til all the blood falls out of my knees.” Kinda sick, isn’t it?

If you’ve ever been to a concert packed to the brim with hipsters, you might think they agree with Clap Your Hands Say Yeah: hell is dancing. But if Satan really does have people boogie down for all eternity, let’s hope they at least get to dance to this song. That might make it go over a little easier.
