My iPod is still broken and it’s killing me. Every time I listen to Prototypes, Goldfrapp or Group Sounds I think “hey, this would be great to listen to while I walk around!” And what good is my summer mix when I can’t listen to it outside of my house? Why the rant? Well, because the new Futureheads album is another that I wish I could ipodify. News and Tributes comes out in two weeks on Vagrant / Startime and they’re offernig another mp3 to sample in the mean time.

Sounding a bit like last year’s “Area,” “Worry About It Later” is The Futureheads pulling out all the old tricks, but in brand new ways. Yes, they’ve got the melodic ‘oh oh oh’s in there, and the strategicly-placed, seemingly sporadic backing vocals, and their jerky, Wire-esque guitar work is still there: but isn’t that why you fell in love with them in the first place? News and Tributes has some Futureheads songs that might be growers, but this isn’t one of them–it’s the boys at their best, and I couldn’t be happier.
