Part one of the strangely named “Rogue Blogger” series finds our hero camped out in UK’s library with 15 minutes until they close. Will he be able to write up a post about The Minders in time? (Ed. note: I don’t want to ruin any surprises, but if you’re reading this it looks like I succeeded).

I remember my English teachers talking about direct and indirect presentation, but no where did they ever mention non-presentation. As I’ve probably listened to “Red Admiral’s (Gonna Pass Me)” several dozen times, I realize that I’m not even sure who the Admiral is, let alone why his lapping of our protagonist is (presumably) such a bad thing. Thankfully the Minders manage to write a song that’s so wonderfully catchy that I could care less about these questions. I’ll be content to sing along, blissfully unaware of any symbolism or real life application.
I got moved in to our place in Lexington and it looks great! I even cooked food today (I made french fries out of potatoes. Every little victory counts, right?)
