For some reason, the back of my mind was thinking that Audible was going to sound like Decibully. I don’t know what’s up with that. Maybe the volume themed names? Both bands are nice enough, and Audible’s new EP “Weekend” isn’t too shabby.

The intro makes me think that Audible really enjoy Sigur Ros and thought “hey, let’s try to sound like them for fifty-three seconds.” After that curiously out of place bit it’s all smooth sailing. The keyboard is hypnotic in a catchy sort of way, and their vocalists has a warm quality about his singing that probably propells this song beyond what it would otherwise be.
