Oh No! Oh My! Release Album

April 11th, 2006 · No Comments

It was by pure chance that I found out that Oh No! Oh My! just got their cd completed and have put their first run up for sale. It was mastered by Ryland from The Robot Ate Me (who also wrote the song from which Oh No pulled their name), and features two new songs: “Farewell to All My Friends” and “The Backseat.” While I’m a little hesitant to go on record as saying this, Oh No! Oh My! might be in the top five unsigned bands in America right now. If you like what you hear, be sure to pick up the album.

Until I found out that they were just now getting to release their album, I had forgotten that Oh No! Oh My! were unsigned. After all, with songs like “Walk in the Park,” you’d think that record labels would be all over them. Honestly, these kids are like the Clap Your Hands Say Yeah of pop music–each song is a wildly refreshing approach to songwriting. The only difference is that no one’s offering to let them play on the OC.
