I love my readers. One of you kind folk left a link to this song in the comments the other day. “Your Arms Around Me” is from an instudio that Jens Lekman performed at Triple J while he was in Australia in 2005.

On one of my very few snarky, hipsterish days I referred to Jens Lekman as a “poor man’s Stephin Merritt.” I feel like no matter what I do, I’ll never be able to make up for the karmic damage that this must’ve caused me. Jens might not be up to Stephin’s level, but really, who is? He’s a beautiful songwriter and this song only goes to show what he’s capable of doing with just his voice and a mandolin. I firmly believe that Jens’ voice has the potential to cure most major diseases.
