Derek from Good Weather for Airstrikes recently let me know that I had to check out the Nashville group Heypenny. Apparently every blogger ever has already posted on them, but hey–better late then never, right?

While most of the Heypenny songs that I’ve heard seem to sound like a poppier Wilco, this track just screams Scissor Sisters. In a way, this song kinda worries me. I just know that I’m going to put it on my ipod playlist, and one day it’s going to happen. I’ll be walking to class when it comes on, and I’ll start to dance like I’m alone in my room. Oh yeah, other people might laugh, but who cares? I’m the one listening to the good song.
