New Human Television Song: “I Laughed”
January 26th, 2006 by Matt
Human Television will be releasing their debut album, Look At Who You’re Talking To, on Gigantic Music on May 2nd. While ‘I Laughed’ is the only song I’ve heard from it so far, it’s definetely got my attention.
MP3: Human Television – I Laughed
I’m having difficulty thinking of the best band to offer as a Human Television comparison. They’ve got slight hints of Interpol’s affinity for older bands. They have a lyrical mastery and vocal fluidity that reminds me of the Lucksmiths. But they also seem like The Talking Heads if David Byrne weren’t such an artsy rebel. The point is, Human Television are some splendid pop that I have a feeling you’re going to like.
Colin Meloy will be playing on NPR Jan 28
Here’s a cool song that a press rep sent me. I like it, but not enough to be a main feature. Stream KT Tunstall’s “Black Horse and the Cherry Tree (WM)

I just got back from that Colin Meloy/Laura Veirs show, it was most excellent. Definitely worth listening to once the NPR site is updated…
