National Eye’s new album, Roomful of Lions, is a hodgepoge of instruments blended together to make startlingly moving pop-folk songs. They’ve got just a touch of the freak-folk movement running through their songs, but not too much to scare off the indie pop fans among you.

Drugged out Flaming Lips meet the melodic side of Animal Collective. ‘Ag1′ is an interesting little song with a steady drum beat at its center. Call me crazy, but the best part about this song just might be the subtle humming in the background.

On a side note, was there really anyone out there begging for Big Momma’s House 2? This is a movie that did not need to be made.
