What is it with me lately? Do I attract bands with strange names, but who rock like none other? Meligrove Band’s new album, Planets Conspire, will be out Jan 17th in Canada and sometime during the Spring for we Yankees. Curiously enough, this will mark V2’s first release of an album by a Canadian artist.

You know the weird thing about attraction? How it hits you in an unexpected way. I don’t know what musical phase I was going through this week, but I feel as though I needed to hear this song. The boys of Meligrove Band punch through this song as though their very lives depended on it. Musical passion hasn’t been this easily felt in quite some time. I’ve got to give this one a pretty high recommendation for your weekend.

While the intro vocals seem a bit lifeless, the song quickly turns into a nice ride. Not only does it maintain the driving force that it quickly establishes, but the guitar solo is a particularly welcome addition.
Meligrove Band are playing a concert tonight in Toronto, ON. It’s their CD release party at the Mod Club Theater and goes down at 9PM.
