Page France Expand Tour, Plan New EPs!

December 30th, 2005

Page France is a band that I’ve championed almost as long as YANP has been around. However, with the release of Hello, Dear Wind they’ve blown up so much that they’re finally getting the coverage that they deserve. It’s made a lot of year-end lists and rightly so. Here are two of my favorite songs of theirs in case you haven’t yet heard them:

MP3: Page France - Air Pollution
MP3: Page France - Chariot

Today I got some great news. Mikey P from WRFL/The Dame called to tell me that it looked like Page France were going to be able to play in Lexington after all. I’d been bugging The Dame to book them, but their hectic schedule meant that we got added after most of the other dates had already been planned. Just the same, one of the best new bands will be performing at The Dame in Lexington, KY this coming up Friday, January the 6th. It’s an early show at 7pm and is only $3. Here are the rest of the tour dates:

Page France Tour Dates:
01.06.06 Lexington, KY The Dame - 7pm, $3 21+
01.07.06 Nashville, TN The Muse
01.08.06 Arlington, VA Galaxy Hut
01.09.06 Pittsburgh, PA The Shadow Lounge
01.11.06 Charlottesville, VA Twisted Branch Tea Bazaar
01.20.06 Greensboro, NC University of North Carolina
01.26.06 Baltimore, MD The Mojo Room
01.27.06 Poughkeepsie, NY Vassar College
01.28.06 Fredonia, NY The Possum House

But in equally amazing news, Page France once again prove that they can churn out amazing tunes in basically no time flat. It appears that they’re readying a new EP for a Febuary release date. Apparently this will be one of a series of three EPs that will span 2006. From their website:

The new ep is now officially untitled. We were sort of beat to the punch, but we’ll have titles and certainties to you within the coming days. However, the track listing is as follows:

1. Million Man Money Hand
2. All Things All Right
3. Talking Out-Louds
4. Ladder Man
5. The Saddest Ones
6. Young One
7. Everybody Knows
8. Say Wolf in the Summertime
