Download Ted Leo’s Beatles Cover
August 31st, 2005 by Matt
Remember how excited we were when the Rubber Soul covers album was announced? What about how let down we all were when Sufjan’s “What Goes On” cover leaked? Well, this might very well be the first good track from the album. “Looking Through You” sounds a bit like Ted’s earlier work, but it’s still got his usual flair. Enjoy!
Stream it here (real media)
MP3: Ted Leo – Looking Through You
Eventually, you can buy it from Razor and Tie
Also, don’t forget about the new Ted Leo song featured over here.

I suppose it would a mute point to request a reposting of the Sufjan track huh? But I’d totally be your best friend!

It’s like Ted Leo, minus all the things I like about Ted Leo. Hooray!
And is that a hung over Alex Patterson I see at the mixing board at 1:45? Double hooray!

seeing as how my intro to ted was through chisel (his d.c. days) and seeing him, for what seemed like ages, opening for others as a solo act, i like this song and am rather fond of his older sound as well as his current. plus he’s just a good guy, you gotta like him.

You think that Sufjan song was bad?
You’re nuts.

Actually he isn’t nuts, seeing as hardly anyone who posted comments had good things to say about it.

I love the Sufjan cover.
Way better than this…and the Fiery Furnaces cover that matter too.

Alas, it’s a moot point, and used horribly incorrectly. GRAMMAR AND USAGE’d!

Anyone who dislikes this track should definitely not pick up Ted’s self-titled album. Just a warning for you guys to avoid one of the best albums in recent memory.
