Tonight we had a mild thunderstorm, but no rain. So I grabbed my iPod at 3am and went and layed out on our deck and put on In the Aeroplane Over the Sea. It’s quite great to listen to something amazing while watching something wonderful. I actually fell asleep for a while because I was so at peace. If any of you are ever bored at 3am, watch some stars or lightning with a good album.
Take Your Medicine has links to White Stripes mp3s at Glastonbury. Positively greatness.
Bishop Allen are updating their news page again. Why is this news? It’s literally been over a year since they updated their news page. Also, Clementines will be amazing.
I never thought it would happen, but those crazy Decemberists’ Forum Kids finally started their website - The Confabulators. I’m supposed to be a member, but I haven’t technically accepted the invite yet. I need to get around to it and start posting junk there.
Looks like you can stream Sufjan’s new album. Perhaps this will win over what few people aren’t already huge fans. Speaking of which, it looks like he recorded a new song for NPR. It’s called The Lord God Bird and is about the city of Brinkley, Arkansas. This has a great background story to it and I’m quite impressed. (p.s. Pitchfork updates at 3am? They just scored some points in my book)

MP3: The Apples in stereo - Liza Jane
Since one of my friends is obsessed with David Lynch, I figured I’d post a link that I found on Boing Boing - David Lynch reads each day’s weather report. It’s…weird.
Jeph gets super bonus points for talking about Pfork’s staff suffering a priapism. In case you don’t know, here’s what priapism means.
I’m watching Pulp Fiction on Bravo right now. Much to my surprise, the edited version isn’t as awkward as you’d think (especially since they say the “F” word approx. 247 times). Also, it’s the extended version where Mia interviews Vincent before their date. If you haven’t seen it, she says that how you answer the question “are you an Elvis man or a Beatles man?” says a lot about you. So that got me kinda curious as to how you all would answer it. How about it, folks? The King or the Fab Four?
