Nouvelle Vague

May 25th, 2005

I think Nouvelle Vague is probably one of the more inventive bands I’ve come across since I started blogging. Two French musicians got together with the idea of a project that just screams of coolness. They got young vocalists that had never heard of bands like XTC and Joy Division. They then recorded new versions (either jazz, bossa nova, etc) of the old classics. I’ll link you to some samples, and you can tell me if you want me to up the whole album. I don’t believe it’s for sale; I couldn’t find any info on it anyways. So check it out!
