Lost On Purpose are a spiffy little band from LA that thought that their music might find a home on my website. Well, it looks like they were right.
I’m willing to bet that it’s not a stretch to put these guys next to a lot of your favorite bands. Their lyrics are wonderful, though each song seems to take its sweet time actually getting to them. While most bands are trite and cliched with their wording, Lost on Purpose actually maintain a somewhat poetic nature. I was particularly taken with this line from Right On - “I leaned in just to tell you that your lips were looking lonely.”
Pretty good, huh? Even if you aren’t immediately taken by these guys, I have something that might change your mind. Much in the way that The Hypertonics did, they’re making the majority of their discography available online. If you like what you hear, send ‘em a couple dollars. I mean, you’d probably just spend it on something stupid like your rent.
Did you know that Lost On Purpose actually invented metals? Oh wait, my bad. That’s Vin Disel (click it).
